Fishing Report - 25 March
2013
Moruya River
Upstream of the hospital has been producing good estuary perch,
bream and flathead on Strada Cringe diving lures, Strada dancer
surface walkers and 100 mm squidgy wrigglers. VIP member John
caught himself a jewie around quarry wharf while fishing for
flathead. A few chopper tailor are running through the river as
well - great fun on poppers and surface walkers. Meanwhile
team Tackle World member Mark has been having fun with the luderick
off the spur wall.
Tuross Lake
Bream have been biting the surface lures well, in particular the
Strada Dancer (55 mm colour No T547) range. Big luderick along the
rockwalls and some good flathead along the sandy weed beds are
being caught on gulp swimming mullet (3 and 4 inch in pumpkin seed
colour). Team Tackle World members Graham and John Senior
enjoyed an afternoons fishing yesterday with John having success
with 70 mm Squidgy fish (Silver Fox) coated in Squidgy S-Factor
juice, while Graham was using Strada Aife 50 mm deep diving lure
(colour number 24) and secured themselves a nice feed of flathead
for Good Friday!
Beaches and Rocks
Now that the Bingi area has been re-opened for rock and beach
fishing it is producing a range of different species, with salmon
and tailor being plentiful while some good sized drummer, luderick,
big bream and big groper have also been caught. The Moruya
breakwall is also producing some big salmon and tailor, with Congo
beach having a huge school of salmon straight out the front.
Corey and his wife christened a brand new combo from our Easter
Catalogue and landed themselves a huge bonito off Broulee - well
done!!
Offshore
VIP member Chad landed good snapper off Moruya and down towards
Pedro Point around the 5 kg mark on soft plastics, with some
smaller kings thrown in as well. A few small tuna getting around
also.
