Moruya River

The water is still crystal clear, so as we stated last week, downsize your leaders and fish with plenty of stealth.

Town Wharf in Moruya is undergoing some upgrading, so the ramp is not available for use for about the next week.  If you'd like to fish the river you'll have to head to either North Head ramp or Preddies Wharf.

Tuross

We have just gotten off the water, and what a great mornings session in the racks!!  Make sure you head to our facebook page in the next couple of days to view these big beautiful bream (all released).  After trying the Strada Badger 40 mm deep divers and noticing that the bream were a little skittish I changed back to the ever reliable Squidgy 80 mm Bloodworm Wrigglers in the Pro Range to get absolutely hammered with bream after bream hitting these guys hard!

There are still plenty of flathead further upstream also responding well to soft plastics at the moment.  Good catches of luderick are also being enjoyed, with salmon and tailor coming on the chew with the rising tide.

The boat ramp at Steel bridge (on the highway) will also be undergoing some upgrading with the ramp being shut down for approximately the next three weeks - this means the only available ramp into Tuross is the main one which necessitates you heading out at high tide as it is very shallow on the low.

Beaches and Rocks

There have been some rather large seas this week, however the salmon are still in the gutters with the seas forecast to be dropping.

Offshore

Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II reports good catches of snapper, mowies, large pigfish, flathead along with gummy and 7-gill sharks all out in 50-65 metres of water.  The current water temperature is sitting at 14.4 degrees celcius.  Please note that there is a large swell running so as always please check bar conditions before heading out.
