Moruya River

Unfortunately the cold currents have sent slime through the river, which happens every year around this time - with a bit of luck it shouldn't take long to clear.  This however did not stop Team Tackle World member Mark heading out to once again enjoy a nice feed of Luderick coated in his favourite Fog Dog Batter (watch out for our new range of "salts" complete with ceramic grinder).

Town Wharf in Moruya is still undergoing some upgrading, so the ramp is not yet available for use.  If you'd like to fish the river you'll have to head to either North Head ramp or Preddies Wharf.

Tuross

After last weeks success in the racks, Graham headed back into Tuross, this time targeting the snags.  It proves that you need to carry a range of plastics and lures with you, as where he had greater success with soft plastics in his last venture, this time it was the hard bodied lures that worked a treat, in particular the Strada Badger 40 mm coated in Squidgy X-Factor.  Make sure you head to our facebook page in the next couple of days to view these big beautiful bream (all released).

Meanwhile Team Tackle World VIP member Noel took a visitor to the area out and fished the four-ways on an out-going tide targeting flathead with Squidgy Bloodworm Wrigglers and Squidgy Grasshoppers Fish.  Noel too coated his soft plastics with Squidgy X-Factor for a greater success rate.

The boat ramp at Steel bridge (on the highway) is still undergoing upgrading with the ramp being shut down for approximately another one-two weeks.

Beaches and Rocks

Our ever-present salmon are still being brought in off the beaches, along with good catches of drummer off the headlands.

Offshore

Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II had to cancel his charters last week due to the large seas.  However, some locals were lucky enough to get out prior and enjoyed good catches of snapper and kingfish off Pedro using Shimano Lucanus jigs for the snapper and metal jigs for the kingies.  Good schools of kingies were also reported off Spud Point.  The water temperature is still sitting around 14.4 degrees celcius.  Remember, always check the bar and sea conditions before heading out.  Moruya bar can be viewed via our website www.tackleworldmoruya.com.
