Fishing Report, 10/6/2011

Friday, June 10, 2011 by tackleworldmoruya

Hey Guys - hope everyone has enjoyed a good weeks fishing!  Here goes for this long weekends report.

Moruya and Tuross

Plenty of salmon are being caught up above the steel bridge on Strada "Feral" deep divers as well as heaps of perch further up the system again.  Nice size whiting are still being brought in of an evening on worms, but be prepared to "rug up".  The Shimano Lure Projects are giving the bream are hiding in the snags at the moment, with nice catches of luderick being brought in on greenweed.

Beaches and Rocks

Moruya Breakwall is still firing with salmon being pulled in left, right and centre both off ganged pillies and Arma Twisty's!

Most beaches both up and down the coastline are producing at the moment with some nice drummer being brought in off the headlands.

Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II reports some good catches of mowies, snapper, pigfish and silver dory in 50 m of water earlier in the week.  The sea temperature is currently running at 17.6 degrees celcius.  Due to the winds, it may be a good idea to stay away from fishing "outside" at the moment, with a bit of luck the seas may abate by Monday so we can enjoy the ocean in safety.  Remember "if in doubt - don't go out"!!

JUST ARRIVED!!!  A great range of archery gear now in stock - they were lined up at the door this morning, so be quick!!

We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful long weekend and look forward to seeing you in store and remember "everydays a good day for fishing ... "
