Hey Guys
Back from Darwin and lucky for us that cyclone drifted out to
sea! We enjoyed a great Tackle World conference and some of
the new stock that will be arriving in store have to be seen to be
believed! --
Moruya and Tuross
Good reports this week of large bream being caught down the
front of Moruya River on both shallow diving lures and live
nippers. Flathead and luderick are also being caught near the spur
wall. For good catches of large salmon and tailor, head down
to the "breakwall" and throw in some anchovy metal slices or ganged
pillies with a surf popper set up on a paternoster rig.
With the water clearing up Tuross is producing good numbers of
flathead and bream over most parts of the system. Try using some
deeper diving hard bodied lures like the all new Strada Quika 45 mm
which are ideal for the larger bream holding just off the side of
the drop off's. Also new to this range are the 65 mm Pieta
floating and 45mm Piccola sinking lure which are absolute
"cracking" lures on flathead.
Beaches and Rocks
Just about all the beaches up and down the coastline are
producing at the moment, with Dolphin Beach, Goulburn Workers,
Pedro and Meringo being the standout spots this week, with good
catches of bream, whiting and flathead.
Offshore
Reports of good catches of snapper have been had straight off
the front of Congo as well as flathead, however please watch your
sizes on the flathead.
