Moruya, Tuross and Surrounding Estuaries

Moruya river is seeing nice luderick around the "hole in the wall" off green weed or freshly pumped nippers.  Good size bream are being caught over the weed beds using shallow diving Strada Piccolas.  Head up around the hospital for some good size flathead which run right down the system to Ryan's Creek using soft plastics, in particular Squidgy Wriggler and Gulp 4" Swimming Mullet in Pumpkinseed.

Tuross has seen some nice whiting being caught on Gulp 2" Shrimp in the Nuclear Chicken colour.  Tackle World members Jade and Tom had some great fun during the week catching good size bream using the new Gladiator "Bingo's" in both deep and shallow divers, as well as some nice flathead on Squidgy Wrigglers 120 mm Red Rum with Tom landing his personal best at 80 cm which after a quick "snap" was released back into the system to continue breeding.

 Rocks and Beaches

Big salmon are being brought in from the Windsock down to Potato Point using ganged pillies and Arma Twisties with most of these Salmon being around the 3 kg size, so they are lots of fun to catch!  Good numbers of bream and whiting are also being caught in the "gutters" using fresh beach worms, with drummer and tailor being brought in off the rocks using a mixture of cunji and pilchards.

Offshore

Capt Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II reports a water temperature of 19.5 degrees celcius.  For best results Ron tells us to head out into the 40-55 metre mark where he secured catches of large tiger flathead, snapper using Shimano Lucanas Jigs, big pigfish, kingies, gummy sharks and mowies off squid and bait fish.  Ron also landed an Eastern Fox Fish (similar to a pigfish to look at, but prettier) which apparently is very pleasing to the palate.  All fish were caught on the gravel patches.  To secure your spot for a great day on the water over the up-coming Christmas period give Ron a ring on 0404966607 as bookings are essential.

Meanwhile Team Tackle World members Dean and Scott headed straight off Moruya to land themselves a very nice 110 kg blue Marlin on a Super  Lumo Saury.  The Marlin was tagged and released!
