Fishing Report, 7/10/2011

Hey Guys - another "strange" week weather wise, but we awoke Thursday morning to a nice "still" day and headed out on the water.

Moruya, Tuross and Surrounding Estuaries

Nice trevally and bream have been caught in Moruya River this week, with a small jewie being brought in off Quarry Wharf.

Tuross is still enjoying the schools of salmon with sizes around the 60 cm mark caught trolling using diving lures.  Team Tackle World members Graham and John took young Angus out for his first fish and were rewarded with a great catch and release session (20 plus) on bream using the larger 40mm Strada Quika which landed Angus the catch of the day (41 cm)!  Some good garfish are also in the system - just burley them up and use some peeled prawn underneath a pencil float for best results.

Some of the smaller systems are also fishing well with nice catches of both flathead and bream on both soft plastics and hard bodies.-

Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa I and II reports good catches of flathead off Broulee in 25 metres of water.  Moving further out into the 40-50 metre mark Ron was rewarded with catches of mowies, snapper, pigfish, leather jackets and gummy sharks.  All fish were caught on fish bait and you need to find the warmer water for the best results (around 17 degrees celcius).  That large school of tuna are still in close and were last off Congo with the birds going "crazy".

Drop in store as all the new releases start turning up in time for Summer - new stock has been arriving on a daily basis.  Check out the exclusive Samaki "Camo Cast" range only available at Tackle World stores.

Have a great weeks fishing everyone and remember "everyday's a good day for fishing ... "
