Fishing Report, 17/9/10

Friday, September 17, 2010 by tackleworldmoruya

-Hey guys - hope everyone has enjoyed a week of good fishing!!  Finally the weather has once again turned warm and appears to be staying that way - lets keep our fingers crossed!!  Here goes for this weeks report.

Team Tackle World member Mark enjoyed a great day on Tuross yesterday and caught and released a plethora of estuary perch, bream, salmon and tailor.  All were caught on a mixture of soft plastics (Gulp 3" minnow New Penny) and hardbody lures (SX40's - col 305 ).  Remember when your fishing for estuary perch its extremely important to remain as quiet as possible, so make sure you put your electric motor to work.

Rocks and Beaches

Take care as the "forecast" is for heavy seas (up to 5 metres).  If conditions are OK you will still land yourself some nice salmon and bream - we'll just have to wait and see what the weather has in store for us!

Captain Ron reports good snapper and mowies in the 35-50 m mark.  However a move out to the 70 metre mark brought even better catches of snapper in the 5-6 kg range as well as large chinamen.  A move back into the 40 metre mark secured good flathead.  There is still abit of slime around, so find yourself some clear water.  The water temp is currently running at 15.5 degrees with a slow current running up hill.

Enjoy your weeks fishing and remember "every day's a good day for fishing ... "
