Hey guys - hope everyone has had an enjoyable week. The
weather here today is absolutely beautiful - please tell me this is
the real start to Spring!! Here goes for this weeks fishing
report.
Moruya River
The boys have enjoyed some nice catches of bream, trevally and
tailor from Quarry Wharf down to the front of the system. The
shallows have produced some nice catches of flathead as well, so
head down around Garlandtown and look for the sand patches
inbetween the weed beds. Atomic Guzzlerz are proving
themselves hard to beat at the moment on the flathead, with squid
on the bream.
Tuross
Once again, the flathead are on the chew, especially down the
front of the system on the Potato Point side - try either the
Atomic Guzzlerz or Gulp in pumpkinseed or nuclear chicken. We
had some great success with Cultiva MiraShads over the weed beds,
catching and releasing 15 flathead in just a couple of hours.
SX40's are still proving themselves on the bream in the racks
and snags, along with Atomic Hardz as well.
Rocks & Beaches
Good catches are being had both up and down the coastline on our
beautiful beaches, with alot of salmon and flathead around the
Goulburn Workers area. Broulee and Potato Point are also
fishing well.
Keep an eye out for the whales - they're "playing" right in
close at the moment, and are a treat to watch.
Offshore
This week has been a touch quiet due to the bad weather we
experienced, however the flathead can be found in just 20 m of
water, with the water temperature running at 16 degrees
celcius.
Catches of snapper, mowies and sharks can be had out in the 35 m
mark off Congo.
Make sure you get in early to secure your booking on Winda
Wopper, as trips are booking out fast.
Have a great weeks fishing everyone and remember "... every
day's a good day for fishing"!!
