Hey Guys - boy just when you think winter has gone -
whamoo!! It comes back and hits you with avengence. Not
to worry, here goes for this weeks fishing report.
Moruya River
With the latest cold snap, the river has been quiet for most of
the week, with an algae type slime coming in from outside.
Tuross
Earlier in the week when the weather was still warm the flathead
come back on the "chew" responding extremely well to Atomic
Guzzlerz. The weather is supposed to "come good" again early
next week, so hopefully these guys will still be around. The
winter whiting and bream are still biting up towards the back of
the system.
Beaches and Rocks
There are still some nice catches of both salmon, tailor and
bream off most of the local beaches, with good catches of drummer
off the headlands.
Offshore
Early in the week the fishing wasn't too bad, with one of our
customers landing a very nice 7.9 kg snapper off Potato
Point. Reports of gummy sharks and mowies have also been had
off the same area.
Captain Ron reports a quiet weeks fishing due to a slimy
green/brown algae that has moved inshore from the Shelf.
However, the water temperature is once more on the rise, so
hopefully everything will return to normal early next week.
