--Hey guys - hope everyone is well and had an enjoyable
holiday. The fishing is still good, so here's some of the
action that's been happening.
Moruya River
Graham and Mark played "hookie" the other morning and went
fishing - what a surprise!! They enjoyed a nice catch and
release session scoring estuary perch underneath Moruya bridge and
around the pylons. Down the front towards preddies wharf they
were also rewarded with extra large bream. Lure of choice for
this session - yep you guessed it - SX40!!
Tackle World member Juy also enjoyed a good day's fishing being
rewarded with perch, bream and tailor all around the bridge and
back up towards the hospital as well.
Tuross River
As I'm writing this report Tackle World member Paul is enjoying
a catch and release session on Tuross - so far he has released 14
bream and 2 flathead all on SX40's and it doesn't matter what
colour you use they are literally chasing all of them! The
bream were secured around the "racks", while the flathead were
caught near Bryce's.
Tackle World member Evan also enjoyed a nice session on Tuross
the other day using a Lucky Craft NW Pencil he released both
flathead from the front of the system and bream from around the
islands near the caravan park. Juy also landed some really
good salmon on metal slices in the deeper water.
Try your luck for a Jewie off the boatshed using Squidgy Pro
Slickrigs 110 mm and remember to use that special secret -
S-Factor!
Beaches and Rocks
Most of the beaches are still producing good catches of salmon,
tailor, bream, whiting and drummer off the headlands. Pillies
are best ganged for the salmon and tailor as well as metal
slices. The bream and whiting will prefer fresh beach
worms!
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Whopper has enjoyed good catches of
mowies and snapper on Gulp 5" jerk baits in 16 metres of
water. The currents have been mild with the temperature
sitting around the 22 degrees celcius mark. There are plenty
of flathead in close off the Moruya-Congo area as well.
Drop in store to secure a good buy from our Easter catalogue,
but hurry the offer ends at the end of this week!! Also don't
forget our fresh beach worms in store at 9.00 am on Saturday
morning - be quick these guys go like hot cakes!!

Hope to see you on the water!
