--Hey Guys - hope everyone has had an enjoyable week. Here
goes for this weeks report.
Moruya River
Team Tackle World member Dickie is still enjoying fishing the
river but reports that you really need to work the snags hard for
the bream and perch. He was rewarded with a nice 45.5 cm
perch on a Bugeye Captiva.
The front of the system is still firing with good catches of
whiting, bream and flathead all on surface lures - try the river 2
sea baby rover over the shallows on the rising tide.
Tuross
The front of the system is still working well for flathead,
whiting and bream, with a 47 cm bream being caught this week.
Once again, like Moruya, surface lures are working a treat!
Rocks and beaches
The beaches are fishing well in the gutters for bream, whiting
and some nice flathead mainly being caught on live beach worms
(remember to ring and reserve your tubs). Around the edges of
the river and lake mouths is fishing extremely well for large
tailor, trevally and salmon upto 4 kilo in size - bait of choice
"pillies". For the more adventurous why not take your 2-5 kg
graphite bream stick, and arm yourself with metal slices and hold
on and have some fun!!
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Whopper reports good catches of
snapper, mowies and pigfish all around the 40-50 metre mark
of water with a mild current running and the water temperature
sitting at a nice 22 degrees celcius. He also landed a 90 kg
hammerhead along with 4-5 foot long gummies - all on fish
bait.
For more info on whats happening where, drop in and speak to
anyone of the team at Tackle World Moruya - because just like you
we all fish!
