Hey Guys - hope everyone has enjoyed a great weeks fishing!
Here goes for this weeks report
Moruya River
Team Tackle World members Mark and Daniel headed out three times
this last week for great catch and release sessions on the bream
using surface lures and deep divers. The best place for these
guys was around preddies wharf. Good catches of flathead are
also still being reported from up around the Hospital area, with
tailor abundant right throughout the system.
Tuross
Team Tackle World member Patrick scored himself a nice 54 cm
luderick on greenweed while fishing the snags, he them went on to
land a nice 85 cm flathead down the front of the system, as well as
some nice whiting on surface lures. Reports of flathead, bream and
perch up Bumbo on poddy mullet have also been had. We enjoyed
a nice catch and release session around the big island just below
the highway bridge, releasing both flathead and whiting which were
caught on 4" Swimming Mullet Pumpkinseed Gulp.
Rocks and Beaches
The water actually turned black earlier this week with the
abundance of salmon off airport beach. Unfortunately the
weather this week has not been favourable for either beach or rock
fishing due to winds picking up in the afternoons.
Offshore
The seas have not been exactly kind to us this past week due to
the windy conditions, however Captain Ron did manage to get out a
couple of times and secured catches of flathead and snapper (on
Shimano Lucanis Jigs) and gummy sharks and pigfish (on fish
bait). The water temperature has dropped from 18.3 degrees
celcius to 15.5 degrees celcius, with only a mild current running
at the moment.
Winda Wopper II has now been launched and ready for operation,
so book early to avoid disappointment!
