Hey Guys - finally spring has sprung and we're enjoying beautiful
sunshine with the temps running between 26-30 degrees
celcius. Great weather for FISHING!!
Moruya River
Good catches of flathead around preddies wharf are being had on
DOA prawns, as well as around the Ryan Creek area. Team
Tackle World members Daniel and Reggie enjoyed a great catch and
release session on both flathead and perch up above the Hospital on
Atomic Hardz.
Head right up river for the Bass which are striking both spinner
baits and surface lures.
Tuross
The system was struggling earlier in the week until this magic
spring weather turned up and turned the fish on too!! Team
Tackle World member, Paul has enjoyed great catch and release
sessions on bream, flathead and perch, using Squidgy Bloodworm
Wrigglers and Stealth Prawns. Congrats to Paul who
landed himself a nice 7 kg Jewie at 4 pm in the arvo on just his
second cast - the successful plastic - Squidgy 100m Shad White
Lightening.
Rocks and Beaches
The "windsock" is still performing, producing nice catches of
bream, salmon and tailor - bait of choice - fresh beachworms or
ganged pillies and metal slices for the salmon and tailor.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda Woppa headed out off Pedro to be
rewarded with catches of flathead, small reddies, pigfish, gummy
and school sharks, as well as - yeah it looks like they've decided
to turn up - Kingies!! Ron was using fish bait, Lucanis Jigs
on Snapper and Dog Tooth Saxons on the Kingies, while trolling
Strada HD Tracka 140's - this lure dives to an incredible 7 metres
so is great over the top of shallow reefs! The water
temperature has risen to 17.5 degrees celcius and it looks like we
should enjoy a great weekends fishing. Contact Captain
Ron to secure your booking!
Pop in store to check out the new Tackle World rod stands - fish
shaped and capable of holding 16 rods.
Make sure you give us a ring to secure your purchase of fresh
beach worms which will be in store 9 am Saturday morning.
Tackle World Moruya is open 7 days a week for your convenience,
so drop in and say G'day to the Team!
and remember "every day's a good day for fishing ..."
