--Hey Guys - hope everyone has enjoyed a great week's
fishing! There's been quite a bit of action down here, so
here goes for this weeks report.
Moruya River
Very nice catches of flounder and whiting are being had in the
river at the moment, with Team Tackle World member Jade, landing
himself a beautiful 45 cm bream right behind Moruya hospital.
Head further upstream and fish the snags for some nice estuary
perch using atomic hardz diving lures. Travel even further to
be rewarded with some nice Bass on surface lures after dark.
Tuross
Gulp 3" Ghost Shrimp in the Red Belly colour have absolutely
been "smashing" the flathead at the moment, so head in store to
secure a pack as these are only available at your local Tackle
World store. Further upstream there are still nice catches of
perch and bass around Coomerang. Team Tackle World member
Mark was rewarded with a great catch and release session on perch,
bream, flathead, salmon and tailor - a really mixed bag!
Beaches & Rocks
The Congo area is still fishing well as is Broulee and the
"windsock". All are producing good catches of salmon and
bream on live beach worms and salted pillies.
Offshore
Captain Ron reports good catches of snapper up to 6 kg in 45
metres of water straight off the front of Moruya, as well as
mowies, chinamen leatherjackets and the odd gummy shark. Head
back in to the 35 metre mark for your tiger flathead - up to 62
cm. The water temperature is currently running at 16.4
degrees celcius, with a swift current making a sea anchor
necessary. Try your luck on Shimano Lucanis jigs and Strike
Pro large "blades" for a catch of snapper!!
We wish everyone a very happy long weekend and would like to
remind you that we are having a great day today (Saturday) with our
giant "Off the Verandah" sale. Make sure you head in to grab
yourself a great deal and a yummy sausage sizzle!!
Tackle World Moruya are now open 7 days a week for your
convenience!
Have a great weeks fishing and remember "every day's a good day
for fishing and its even better when you take the kids!"
