Moruya River
If its Bream your after, then head to either Preddies Wharf or
Quarry Wharf as reports of some very nice catches have been had on
fresh bait.
Luderick are still plentiful in all of the systems surrounding
the area at the moment - grab some greenweed and have some fun!
Flathead are also being caught around the weedbeds further down
towards the front of the system and should really come on the
"chew" now that the weather is starting to warm up!
Tuross
We launched early this morning and headed upstream towards
Coomera - the water is a "coffee" colour due to cattle crossing
frequently upstream. Just watch for stray "logs" as
visibility is low! We caught and released some nice Bass and
Bream on Atomic Hardz and Berkley Gulp Shrimps Banana Prawn.
Team Gone Fishin' member Tye has been catching and releasing
some very nice Perch around the snags further down towards the
front of the system on Squidgy Pro's!
Beaches & Rocks
The Salmon is prolific at the moment, especially on Tomakin
Beach using metal slices. If you're after a load of fun grab
your light spin gear and head down there for some real
excitement!!
The Drummer and Luderick are still on the "chew" off the rocks
both up and down the coastline.
Offshore
Captain Ron onboard Winda-Whopper reports good catches of Snapper
and Mowies, as well as some Kingfish (however only small) in 45-70
metres of water straight off Congo. The odd Flathead is also
appearing around the 40 metre mark.
The weather report is all good for this weekend, so grab the
family and head out and have some fun fishing!!
