Moruya River
Quite a few reports of Flathead being back on the "chew" have been
in this week which is good news for everyone! Try prawns or
fresh nippers down the front of the system. Luderick are also
plentiful at the moment on greenweed or nippers around the weedbeds
both in Moruya and Tomago systems.
Tuross River
We launched Sunday morning from the main boat ramp and headed into
the leases for a "rack attack"! Lure of the day was Lucky
Craft Shingo winning out over the others on a productive catch and
release session. After this, we headed into deeper water and
threw out some StrikePro Vibes to pick up Bream and Tailor.
Flathead are also responding well to soft plastics in the
shallows.
Rocks and Beaches
Good catches of Salmon, Tailor, Drummer, Blue Groper and Bream are
still being had both up and down the coastline. The Salmon
are favouring "anchovies" over the "pillies" at the moment,
while still responding well to metal slices.
Offshore
Head out into the 60 metre mark where the water is a warm 18
degrees celcius. Here you should find yourself some nice
catches of Snapper. Once you've found these guys, kellick up
and burley and then throw some Gulp Nuclear Chicken 5" Jerk Shads
down the burley trail for best results. You should be
rewarded with some nice catches of Mowies and Nannygai using this
technique. If you're after Flathead try drifting in the same
area, using either Squid or soft plastics, inparticular the Gulp 5"
Jerk Shad "Glow".
Drop in store for a "chat" and a cuppa! We currently have a
special on all Lucky Craft Lures, where if you purchase any 2 you
receive a free DVD titled Hard Copy Volume 1.
Enjoy the week fishing, especially in this mild winter weather
we're experiencing at the moment.
