Moruya River
Team Gone Fishin' member Ben had a great day in the river this
week scoring himself eight very nice flathead down the front of the
system - it was well worth the drive from Canberra for the
day!!
The prawns are moving around too with catches of 1-2 kg each night
this past week.
Tuross
This warm weather will really bring the fish on the "chew" - try
the Gobo poppers for the whiting and bream around the flats and
leases. The flathead will enjoy berkley gulp in both nuclear
chicken and pumpkinseed.
Head up stream for the Bass and Estuary Perch - any type of prawn
imitation is working well at the moment.
Beaches and Rocks
Some nice catches of Salmon, tailor, bream, whiting and trevally
are being had up and down the coastline at the moment. Hit
the headlands for groper and drummer.
Offshore
Captain Ron is aboard the Winda-Wopper enjoying nice catches of
large snapper, mowies, big nannygai, extremely good flathead, as
well as your usual reef species. The water is a pleasant 20
degees celcius, however the current is roaring in from the
north-east, so either kellick up and burley or use a good sea
anchor.
Gone Fishin's still running their sale at the moment so head in
store quickly to take advantage of some great specials!!
Put next Saturday, 28 November in your diary as a day to be in
Moruya for something never before seen in the Euroodalla
region! We'll even shout you a sausage sizzle!!
